Product Information
Full details
Dilunett is a powerful, solvent and paraffin-free paint stripper that effectively removes oil and alkyd-based paints, varnishes, and woodstains. It can strip up to 8 coats of finish in a single application. Its gel consistency prevents running, making it ideal for vertical surfaces and intricate designs. Dilunett works by dissolving paint in even the smallest recesses, softening all layers for easy and clean removal. It is biodegradable, non-flammable, and safe for use in poorly ventilated or confined areas. It is suitable for most surfaces including wood, metal (except aluminum), plastic, stone, and cement. Dilunett is particularly useful for wood stain removal and for surfaces that are difficult to strip due to size or intricate design. It is solvent-free, meaning no toxic fumes are produced. The product remains active for a long time and does not dry out, making it efficient for stripping large areas. It does not attack plastics, rubber, synthetic coatings, or gel coats (GRP). To prepare surfaces, remove any loose or flaking paint and brush off physical surface contamination like moss or dirt. For application, apply a thick coat of Dilunett over the entire surface. For woods rich in tannins, work in zones to prevent excessive darkening. Allow the product to work, then remove Dilunett and dissolved paint using a stiff nylon scrubbing brush or paint scraper while flushing with water, or use a pressure washer (max 60 bars / 870 psi). Hot water can make the job easier. Thoroughly rinse the surface with fresh, clean water afterward.
