Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Clarks Porto Lace shoes remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:
- Initial Fit: Ensure the laces are loosened completely before inserting your foot to avoid strain on the back heel counter. Adjust the laces snugly but comfortably across the bridge of the foot.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the leather exterior with a soft, damp cloth to remove surface dirt and dust after daily use.
- Conditioning: Apply a high-quality leather cream or polish occasionally to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Use a shade-matching black polish to touch up scuffs.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Keep them away from direct heat sources like radiators, as this can cause the leather to become brittle.
