FAQs

How should I wash my PARAJUMPERS Mariah jacket?

The jacket is machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners. Always check the specific care label inside your jacket for detailed instructions.

Is this jacket waterproof?

The jacket features a water-repellent treatment, which means it will shed light rain and snow. It is not fully waterproof and may eventually wet out in heavy or prolonged precipitation.

What type of filling does the jacket have?

The jacket is filled with 100% duck down, providing excellent insulation and warmth.

Can I wear this jacket in windy conditions?

Yes, the jacket is designed with a wind-proof treatment to protect you from strong winds, making it suitable for blustery weather.

What are the outer materials of the jacket?

The outer layer is composed of 60% polyester and 40% polyamide, offering durability and weather resistance.

Is the hood adjustable or removable?

Info needed: The product description specifies a 'Hooded Down Jacket', indicating it has a hood, but does not provide details on whether it is adjustable or removable.

Is this jacket suitable for extreme cold?

The duck-down filling provides substantial warmth for cold temperatures. For extreme cold, layering appropriately underneath the jacket will significantly enhance your comfort and insulation.

Troubleshooting

Jacket feels less warm than expected

Ensure all zippers are fully closed. Consider layering appropriate base and mid-layers underneath for added insulation. If recently washed, confirm the down filling is completely dry and fluffed.

Water repellency seems reduced

The water-repellent treatment may need to be reactivated or reapplied over time. Follow instructions for DWR (Durable Water Repellent) restoration products if necessary, or ensure the jacket is clean as dirt can hinder repellency.

Down clumping after washing

This is common for down jackets. Tumble dry on a low setting with 2-3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls. The balls will help break up the down clumps and restore the jacket's loft and warmth.

Unpleasant odor after washing

Ensure the jacket is *completely* dry. Damp down can develop an odor. Air dry in a well-ventilated area for an extended period, or repeat the tumble drying process with dryer balls until no moisture remains.

Care Instructions:

To maintain the quality and performance of your PARAJUMPERS Mariah Hooded Down Jacket, follow these care guidelines:

Washing: Machine wash the jacket. It is generally recommended to use a gentle cycle with cold water and a specialized down-wash detergent if possible. Avoid using fabric softeners.
Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting, ideally with a few clean tennis balls or dryer balls. This helps to break up clumps of down and restore loft. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
Storage: Store the jacket in a cool, dry place. Avoid compressing it for extended periods, as this can damage the down filling's loft.
Spot Cleaning: For small stains, gently clean the affected area with a damp cloth and mild soap, then rinse thoroughly and air dry.

*Always refer to the care label inside your jacket for the most precise instructions.*
