Product Information

Full details

The Nike ACG LDV trainers are designed for outdoor enthusiasts and style-conscious individuals who value a blend of heritage running aesthetics and modern trail functionality. By fusing the classic LDV silhouette with Nike's All Conditions Gear (ACG) expertise, these shoes offer exceptional breathability and reliable grip on uneven surfaces, though the low-profile design may provide less ankle support compared to dedicated high-top hiking boots.

FAQs

Are these shoes waterproof?

No, the Nike ACG LDV trainers are constructed with a mesh upper for breathability and are not waterproof.

Can I use these for serious hiking?

These are designed for light trail use and casual outdoor activity. For serious mountain hiking, a dedicated hiking boot with more ankle support and protection is recommended.

How do I clean the mesh material?

Use a soft brush to remove surface dust. For deeper stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then air dry.

Do these shoes run true to size?

Yes, they generally follow standard sizing. If you plan to wear thick wool hiking socks, you may want to consider a half-size up.

What is the primary material of the upper?

The upper is constructed primarily from a high-quality, breathable mesh.

Troubleshooting

Mesh upper shows signs of dirt build-up

Allow mud to dry completely and gently brush it away with a soft, dry brush before wiping with a damp cloth.

Loss of traction on wet surfaces

Check the outsole for small stones or debris lodged in the Waffle pattern, as these can interfere with grip.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile design suitable for both casual wear and light trail activities
Lightweight construction prevents foot fatigue
Excellent grip provided by the signature Waffle rubber outsole
Breathable materials prevent overheating

Cons

Low collar design offers limited ankle protection for rugged terrain
Lighter weight construction may show wear faster on abrasive rocky trails
Not waterproof, so they are best suited for dry or mild weather conditions

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because these are standard lace-up trainers, no complex setup is required. To maintain the life of your trainers, avoid machine washing; instead, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dried mud and debris from the mesh. Use a damp cloth with mild soap for spot cleaning the upper. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, which can warp the materials. For optimal performance, ensure the laces are snug but not tight enough to restrict circulation during activity.
