Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Initial Setup:
- Setting the Time: Pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the farthest position. Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise or counter-clockwise until the correct time is displayed. Push the crown back in fully to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: Pull the crown out to the middle position. Rotate the crown (typically clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on the model) to advance the date. If the date changes when moving the time hands past midnight, ensure you are setting the AM/PM correctly. Once the date is set, push the crown back in fully.
- Adjusting the Strap: The stainless steel band typically uses removable links. For initial sizing, it's often best to visit a jeweler or watch repair shop to have links professionally removed or added for a comfortable and secure fit. If you prefer to do it yourself, you will need a small pin pusher tool.
Compatibility:
This watch is designed as a men's timepiece, complementing a wide range of styles from casual to semi-formal or business attire. Its robust yet elegant design makes it suitable for daily wear, office environments, social events, and active recreational use.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the case and strap with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils. For the stainless steel band, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Exposure: While water-resistant to 10 Bar, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam (e.g., showers, saunas), or sudden temperature changes, as this can compromise the seals. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure.
- Impact Protection: Avoid dropping the watch or exposing it to severe shocks, which can damage the internal movement or external components.
- Battery Replacement: As a Quartz watch, the battery will eventually need replacing. When the watch stops or the second hand starts skipping (some models have an end-of-life indicator), take it to a qualified watchmaker or authorized service center for battery replacement to maintain its water resistance and functionality.
- Storage: When not in use, store the watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. A watch box or pouch is ideal to protect it from scratches and dust.
