No, this garment is strictly for hand-washing to prevent shrinkage and damage to the natural wool and cashmere fibers.
This indicates that the garment includes components like natural buttons or leather trim derived from animal sources.
Always fold the cardigan for storage rather than hanging it; hanging can cause the knit to lose its shape and stretch over time.
The inclusion of 20% cashmere significantly softens the texture of the wool, making it much more comfortable against the skin than standard wool garments.
It is generally recommended to avoid harsh fabric softeners; if necessary, use a small amount of liquid detergent specifically designed for delicate wools.
Use a specialized fabric shaver or a cashmere comb to gently remove pills from the surface after wear.
Ensure you are laying the piece perfectly flat and reshaping it to its original dimensions before it dries.
To ensure your cardigan maintains its quality, follow these care instructions strictly: hand-wash the item in cool water using a gentle detergent specifically formulated for wool or cashmere. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, as this can cause stretching. Instead, lay the garment flat on a clean towel to air dry, ensuring it is away from direct heat sources or sunlight, which can fade the rich purple color. Because this product contains non-textile parts of animal origin, keep it stored in a cool, dry place, ideally using a moth-deterrent garment bag during seasonal storage.
