Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your George Washington costume remains in excellent condition, it is recommended to store it on a wide-shouldered hanger to maintain the shape of the epaulets and jacket structure. Since the outfit is made of polyester, keep it away from extreme heat sources. If you notice wrinkling from storage, use a garment steamer on a low setting or a cool iron to gently smooth the fabric. We suggest dry cleaning the costume to preserve the integrity of the gold floral trim and fringed epaulets. It is compatible with a wide range of standard colonial-era props, including tricorne hats and faux swords.
