Troubleshooting
Clock is not ticking or hands are not moving.
Ensure that 3 fresh AA batteries are inserted correctly with the proper polarity. Check that the time-setting knob is pushed fully in.
Cuckoo does not sound on the hour.
Verify that the batteries are new and correctly installed. Check if there is a switch or button to enable/disable the cuckoo function (if applicable to the specific model, though this model description does not explicitly mention one). Ensure the clock is not in a location with extremely loud background noise that might mask the sound.
Clock is losing or gaining time.
Replace the batteries with a fresh set. Ensure the clock is hanging flat and not obstructed, which could interfere with the mechanism. If the issue persists, the quartz movement may require servicing.
Hands are stuck or misaligned.
Gently try to realign the hands if they are touching each other or the clock face. Avoid forcing them. If they remain misaligned, the clock may need professional repair.
