FAQs

Does this hob come with an external vent?

No, this model is designed for recirculating extraction, pulling air through an integrated filter system.

Can I use any type of pans?

You must use induction-compatible cookware made of magnetic materials like cast iron or magnetic stainless steel.

Is the child lock feature easy to use?

Yes, you can activate the lock via the touch controls to prevent accidental activation of the zones.

How often should I change the filters?

The frequency depends on usage, but we recommend checking them every 3-6 months for optimal performance.

What is the maximum power consumption?

The connected electrical load is 7400 W, necessitating a professional-grade installation.

Can I use the app to turn the hob on remotely?

The hOn app provides monitoring and control features, but safety regulations require you to be physically present to activate cooking zones.

Troubleshooting

The hob does not heat up when a pan is placed on it.

Ensure the cookware is induction-compatible and centered properly within the zone markings. The unit will not trigger if the pan material is non-magnetic.

Extraction power seems weak or ineffective.

Check the grease filters for debris and ensure the carbon filters are not fully saturated. Replace filters as indicated by the maintenance schedule.

Control panel unresponsive or displaying an error.

Perform a hard reset by turning off the main power at the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power.

Pros and Cons

Sleek design eliminates overhead clutter
Flexible BridgeZone cooking for large cookware
Automatic extraction adjustment based on heat usage
Fast and responsive induction heating with booster
Smart app connectivity for modern kitchen management

Cons

Requires a high-power electrical installation
Recirculating filter maintenance required over time
Not suitable for older homes without upgraded wiring

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the HAIH82MTMCF must be performed by a qualified electrician, as it carries a 7400W load and requires a dedicated circuit. The unit is designed for built-in placement into an 80cm wide cabinet configuration. For daily care, use a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent to clean the glass surface once it has cooled down. The integrated grease filter is easily removable; ensure you check the saturation of the carbon filters periodically to maintain optimal odour trapping. Never use abrasive sponges or caustic cleaners on the ceramic glass, as these can cause permanent scratching or etching.
