How do I clean the hob?

Wipe the hob surface with a damp cloth or sponge after each use. For tougher stains, use a hob scraper. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

What is the PowerBoost function?

The PowerBoost function provides a temporary increase in power to an induction zone, allowing for faster heating.

Does the hob make any noise?

Induction hobs may produce a slight buzzing sound at high power levels, which is normal. Also, the cooling fan may produce some noise.

What safety features does the hob have?

The hob includes a child lock to prevent accidental operation and an automatic safety shut-off feature.

How do I use the timer function?

Select the cooking zone and set the desired cooking time using the timer controls. The hob will automatically switch off the zone when the timer expires.

What is the Keep Warm function?

The Keep Warm function maintains food at an ideal serving temperature without overcooking.

Troubleshooting

Hob won't turn on.

Check the power supply and ensure the hob is correctly connected. Check if the child lock is activated.

Cookware not recognized.

Ensure you are using induction-compatible cookware. Check that the cookware is properly centered on the cooking zone.

Slow heating.

Make sure you have selected the appropriate power level. Also, ensure that the cookware base is flat and making good contact with the hob surface.

Hob displays error codes.

Consult the user manual for specific error code meanings and troubleshooting steps.

Touch controls are unresponsive.

Ensure your fingers are dry when operating the touch controls. If the issue persists, try resetting the hob by turning off the power at the circuit breaker for a few minutes.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup

Professional Installation: It is recommended to have the hob professionally installed by a qualified electrician to ensure proper electrical connections and safety.
Cutout Dimensions: Verify that your countertop cutout matches the hob's dimensions (51 x 592 x 522 mm). Ensure there is sufficient space for ventilation.
Electrical Connection: The hob requires a 220-240V, 50-60 Hz power supply. Check local electrical codes for compliance.

Compatibility

Cookware: Only use cookware that is compatible with induction hobs. Test with a magnet – if a magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, it will work. Look for cookware specifically labeled as "induction-ready."
Countertop Material: The hob is suitable for most countertop materials, but consult with the countertop manufacturer for specific recommendations.

Care

Cleaning: After each use, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
Spills: Clean spills immediately to prevent them from burning onto the surface.
Scratches: Avoid dragging cookware across the surface. Use a hob scraper to remove any burnt-on food residue.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect the hob for any signs of damage. Contact Siemens support if you experience any issues.
