The JRP Riveting Products Dome Head Rivets (4.0 x 10mm, Copper/Steel) offer a strong, durable hold for various applications, with the primary caveat being their specific size suitability. These rivets are constructed from a combination of copper and steel, ensuring enhanced strength and long-lasting performance with an easy installation process for a secure fit.

These rivets are suitable for joining various materials, including sheet metal (steel, aluminum), plastics, and some composites. They are most effective when joining materials of similar or compatible hardness.
The general rule is that the rivet's length should be sufficient to grip the total thickness of the materials plus the thickness of the rivet head, allowing for proper deformation. For these 10mm rivets, they are typically best for a combined material thickness of 2mm to 6mm.
The copper and steel construction offers good durability. While not stainless steel, they provide reasonable resistance to corrosion for many outdoor applications. For highly corrosive environments, consider specialized rivets.
The dome head provides a clean, rounded finish and a larger bearing surface compared to countersunk or flat heads, reducing the chance of pull-through and offering a good aesthetic for many applications.
Yes, you will need a rivet gun (also known as a rivet tool or pop rivet tool) that is designed to accommodate 4.0mm diameter rivets.
The product information does not specify the quantity per pack. Please refer to the product packaging or listing for quantity details.
No, rivets are a permanent mechanical fastener and cannot be easily removed without damaging the rivet or the surrounding material.
Ensure the rivet gun is set for 4.0mm rivets and that the jaws are clean and in good condition. Check that the material thickness is within the recommended range for the rivet length.
Verify the rivet gun is functioning correctly. Some rivet guns have adjustable settings for mandrel break-off force. Consult your rivet gun's manual.
For too large a hole, consider a rivet with a larger flange or an additional washer. For too small a hole, ream the hole slightly to the recommended size (4.1-4.3mm).
Check that the rivet was fully set and the mandrel broke off cleanly. Ensure the materials were held firmly together during the riveting process.
