Full details
The Skechers Glide-Step - Stargaze Slip-On Shoes are designed for adult women seeking effortless, easy comfort and convenience. The key benefit is the Hands Free Slip-ins® technology, allowing you to step in without bending or touching your shoes. A potential caveat is that while they are machine washable, specific care instructions should be followed to maintain their quality. FAQs
How does the Hands Free Slip-ins® technology work?
The shoes feature a unique heel design with a supportive structure (Heel Pillow®) that allows you to slide your foot in without needing to bend down or use your hands. The heel cup holds your foot securely in place once slipped on.
Are these shoes suitable for athletic activities like running?
These shoes are designed for casual comfort and light walking. They are not intended for high-impact athletic activities such as running, as they do not provide the specialized support and structure required for such sports.
What does 'Vegan' mean in the product description?
It means that no animal-derived materials were used in the construction of the shoe.
How do I ensure the best fit with the slip-on design?
The Heel Pillow® is crucial for a secure fit. Make sure your heel is fully against the back of the shoe when slipping it on. If you have narrow heels, you might find they feel less secure than with traditional shoes.
Can I wash these shoes with other laundry items?
It is recommended to wash them separately or with similar lightweight items on a gentle cycle to prevent damage to the shoes or other garments.
What is the benefit of the Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insole?
This insole provides enhanced cushioning for comfort and is designed with air channels to promote better air circulation, helping to keep your feet cooler and drier.
How should I store the shoes when not in use?
Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure they are clean and completely dry before storing to prevent odor or material degradation.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too loose or slip off.
Ensure your heel is fully seated against the Heel Pillow®. The design relies on the heel counter to provide a secure fit. If still loose, consider a size down if available, or they may not be the best fit for your foot shape.
Discomfort after initial wear.
Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam® insoles may require a short break-in period. Wear them for short durations initially and gradually increase wear time. Ensure you are wearing appropriate socks for comfort.
Mesh upper appears stretched.
The engineered mesh is designed to be flexible. If the stretch is excessive and affects fit, check if the size is correct. Avoid excessive force when putting on or taking off the shoes.
Machine washing results in damage.
Always follow the care instructions: use a gentle cycle, cold water, and air dry. Do not use bleach or place them in a machine dryer, as heat can damage the materials and adhesives.
