The shoe's construction features a staggered collar that wraps around the ankle, following the natural alignment of the ankle's bony protrusions for an asymmetrical shape. The moderately stiff R4 outsole balances comfort and pedaling efficiency, with a lower profile and 15% infused carbon fiber for optimized structural support. The R4 outsole also provides efficient ventilation and internal channeling for temperature regulation. The cleat is positioned slightly further back than traditional placements to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, making it ideal for aggressive aero riding positions.
