The Jacobi Jayne My Favourites Lantern Bird Feeder is designed for backyard bird enthusiasts who want to support smaller garden visitors like robins, finches, and blue tits. Its primary benefit is a durable, weather-resistant design that keeps feed dry and fresh while effectively discouraging larger nuisance birds like starlings and pigeons. Please note that while its design is ideal for clinging birds, it may not be suitable for ground-feeding species that prefer tray-style structures.

This feeder is designed for standard seed mixes. The ports are sized to accommodate small to medium seeds commonly favored by finches and tits.
Yes, the My Favourites feeder is compatible with standard bird feeder pole mounts in addition to its hanging loop.
It is recommended to clean the feeder every 2 to 4 weeks, or immediately if you notice the seed has become damp or moldy.
Yes, the high-quality polycarbonate is food-grade, durable, and does not leach chemicals into the bird feed.
While the feeder is designed to deter larger birds, it is not strictly squirrel-proof. If you have squirrel activity, consider placing the feeder in an isolated area away from jumping-off points.
Check if the seed mix is too large for the ports or if there is a clump caused by humidity. Shake the feeder gently to dislodge blockages.
Ensure the feeder is placed away from heavy wind and high-traffic areas. It may take several days for local birds to discover the new food source.
Ensure no debris or seed shells are lodged in the quick-release mechanism. A quick rinse with water can clear minor obstructions.
Setup is straightforward: utilize the integrated hanging loop to suspend the feeder from a sturdy garden branch or use a compatible mounting pole. For cleaning, simply twist or unclip the base section to access the internal hopper. We recommend washing the unit with mild soap and warm water every few weeks—especially during damp months—to prevent mold growth. Always ensure the lid is fully locked into the 'closed' position after refilling to maintain the weatherproof seal.
