The Nike Air Monarch IV is an iconic athletic trainer designed for active adults who prioritize long-term comfort and a classic, understated aesthetic. Featuring a durable leather upper and supportive cushioning, it serves as an excellent everyday shoe for casual wear or light activity; however, its robust build may feel heavier compared to modern minimalist performance runners.

While the Air Monarch IV offers excellent support and cushioning, it is categorized as a trainer. It is best suited for walking, casual wear, and light training rather than long-distance running.
Most users find the Nike Air Monarch IV fits true to standard UK sizing, though the leather upper may feel snug initially before it breaks in.
Use a specialized leather sneaker cleaner and a soft-bristled brush. Gently scrub the white areas and wipe away residue with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
Yes, the insoles are typically removable, allowing you to insert custom orthotics if preferred.
The leather upper provides some resistance to light moisture, but they are not fully waterproof and should be avoided in heavy rain.
The dashed perforations are specifically placed on the toe box and ankle area to allow for better air circulation and to prevent overheating during use.
Use a shoe tree when not wearing the trainers to help the leather maintain its shape and minimize deep creases.
The tan-speckled outsole can trap small pebbles; remove them regularly with a brush to maintain optimal traction and prevent tracking dirt indoors.
Ensure the shoe is fully unlaced before putting it on to prevent the heel collar from collapsing and fraying.
Because the Air Monarch IV uses a leather exterior, proper maintenance is essential to keep the white and Phantom Grey tones looking sharp. Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to remove surface dirt immediately after outdoor use. For deeper cleaning, use a mild leather cleaner specifically designed for footwear; avoid fully submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the internal structure and glue. To maintain the integrity of the cushioning, store the trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause the materials to stiffen over time.
