No, this skull cap is specifically designed for the Pioneer 100 Bivvy Aquatexx EV 1.0.
No, the design allows it to remain in situ during pack-down for added convenience.
The weight of the skull cap is approximately 2.2kg.
The material features a hydrostatic head rating of 25000mm.
Yes, the dual rod straps are designed to keep rods secure, but ensure the bivvy itself is pegged down securely in high wind conditions.
Ensure it is clean and 100% dry, then store it in the provided drawstring carrybag in a cool, dry place.
Ensure the main bivvy is fully tensioned and pegged correctly before attempting to fit the skull cap.
Check that the twin rear vents are open to allow adequate airflow and verify that the cap is correctly tensioned to maintain the gap between layers.
Adjust the tensioning straps at the attachment points to ensure a taut fit across the entire frame.
This skull cap is intended solely for use with the Pioneer 100 Bivvy Aquatexx EV 1.0. To set it up, drape the cap over the main frame, ensuring the eyelets align with the bivvy’s existing mounting points. Once secured, use the built-in straps to tension the material. Regarding care, always ensure the cap is completely dry before storing it in the included carrybag to prevent mildew. If the fabric becomes soiled, clean it with a damp cloth and mild, non-detergent soap. Avoid using heavy chemicals or power washers, as these can compromise the 25000mm hydrostatic head rating.
