Check the internal hinge mechanism for any obstructions and ensure the lid is properly aligned with the base storage compartment.

Assembly is straightforward, typically requiring the attachment of the turned wooden legs to the base of the ottoman. Ensure all hardware is tightened securely to prevent wobbling during use. For care, gently vacuum the velvet surface using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. If a spill occurs, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth; avoid scrubbing, as this can crush the velvet pile. For long-term maintenance, a fabric protector spray suitable for velvet can be applied to help resist stains.
