FAQs
Are the Nike Shox TL suitable for wide feet?
The trainers feature a standard width. While the breathable mesh upper offers some flexibility, children with significantly wide feet may find them more comfortable if tried on first.
How do I clean the Shox columns?
The Shox columns can be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure they are fully dry before use.
What is the main benefit of Nike Shox technology?
Nike Shox technology provides advanced cushioning by using resilient columns to absorb impact and return energy, offering a responsive and bouncy feel.
Can these trainers be used for competitive sports?
While offering great cushioning and support for active play and training, they are best suited for general athletic activities and casual wear rather than highly specialized competitive sports that may require specific performance features.
What is the age group recommended for these trainers?
These trainers are designed for kids, specifically noted as 'Junior' sizes, suitable for active children who need supportive and cushioned footwear.
How durable are the Nike Shox TL trainers?
The trainers are constructed with durable materials including a rubber outsole, synthetic and textile upper, and a TPU cage, designed to withstand regular active use by children.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too stiff or firm on first wear.
This is common with Nike Shox technology. Wear the shoes for short periods initially and gradually increase wear time to allow the cushioning to break in and conform to your child's foot.
Laces come undone frequently.
Ensure the laces are tied securely with a double knot. If the laces are worn, consider replacing them with new, less slippery laces.
Traction seems poor on a specific surface.
Check the outsole for any embedded debris (mud, small stones) that might be affecting grip. Clean the outsole thoroughly. Note that performance can vary based on surface conditions.
Upper material appears dirty.
Gently clean the mesh and synthetic areas with a soft brush and a mild soap and water solution. Blot with a damp cloth and allow to air dry.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These trainers require no specific setup. Simply ensure they are the correct size for a snug, comfortable fit. Lace them up securely using the provided laces.
Compatibility: The Nike Shox TL Trainers are designed for general athletic activities and casual wear. They are suitable for running, training, and everyday use by children. They are not intended for specialized sports requiring specific footwear features (e.g., hiking boots, basketball-specific shoes).
Care: To maintain the condition of your Nike Shox TL Trainers:
- Cleaning: Use a soft brush or cloth to remove loose dirt. For tougher stains, use a mild soap and water solution with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Air dry the trainers at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in a tumble dryer, as this can damage the materials and affect the cushioning.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
