FAQs

Is the ASICS Icon 1/4 Zip Top waterproof?

No, it is designed for breathability and moisture-wicking. It is not waterproof, though the quick-drying fabric performs well if you get caught in a light drizzle.

Does this top provide UV protection?

While the polyester material offers some natural coverage, it is not explicitly rated as sun-protective gear. We recommend applying sunscreen to exposed skin.

Can I wear this for activities other than running?

Yes, its lightweight and breathable design makes it suitable for cycling, gym workouts, and other high-intensity outdoor activities.

Are the reflective details permanent?

The reflective elements are durable, but they can degrade if washed with harsh chemicals or dried at very high temperatures. Follow the care instructions strictly to maintain visibility.

Does the top fit true to size?

Yes, the ASICS Icon 1/4 Zip is designed to follow standard athletic sizing. Refer to the size guide to ensure you select the appropriate fit for your build.

Troubleshooting

The zipper feels stuck or difficult to move.

Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper teeth. If the issue persists, gently wipe the zipper track with a clean, dry cloth to remove debris.

Fabric holds onto odors after heavy use.

Soak the garment in a mixture of water and a small amount of white vinegar before your regular wash cycle to neutralize odor-causing bacteria.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your ASICS Icon 1/4 Zip Top, follow these maintenance guidelines:

Washing: Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle to preserve the integrity of the synthetic fabric and reflective components.
Detergent: Use a mild, sports-specific detergent to help maintain the moisture-wicking properties of the polyester.
Drying: Air dry whenever possible. If you must use a dryer, select the lowest heat setting to prevent material degradation.
Bleaching: Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can coat the fibers and interfere with the quick-drying capabilities.
Compatibility: This top pairs perfectly with ASICS running shorts or tights, and its slim-fit aesthetic makes it easy to wear under a thicker windbreaker if the weather turns inclement.
