The Korsteel French Link Full Cheek Snaffle is ideal for young horses who need extra guidance, as the long cheeks help to direct the horse's head without excessive pressure on the lips. Its French link mouthpiece is gentler than a single-jointed snaffle, reducing the nutcracker action on the tongue. The fixed rings provide stability in the horse's mouth, making it suitable for horses that struggle with consistent contact, such as young horses or those with sensitive mouths. This bit is dressage legal. The long cheek bars apply pressure to the cheek when a turning aid is given, which is useful for green horses or those prone to napping. The bars also prevent the bit from slipping, which is beneficial for horses unsure of the bit. The French link design negates the nutcracker action of a single-jointed bit and avoids direct pressure on the tongue or bars of the mouth, encouraging relaxation.
