Troubleshooting

Lighter fails to ignite

Check if the lighter is out of fuel or if the flint has worn down to a nub.

Flame is weak or flickering

Ensure the wick is clean and positioned correctly; trim the wick if it has become excessively charred.

Lighter feels stiff to open

Ensure the hinge is clean and free of debris; a tiny amount of lubricant on the hinge can also help.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using your Zippo, you must fill the insert with official Zippo premium lighter fuel.

Filling: Pull the inner metal insert from the outer case. Lift the felt pad at the bottom and saturate the rayon balls with lighter fluid. Do not overfill to prevent leakage.
Maintenance: Periodically replace the flint when you notice the sparking mechanism becomes difficult to strike. The cotton wick may also require trimming or replacement if it becomes carbon-heavy.
Compatibility: This model is compatible with standard Zippo flints, wicks, and premium fuel. Avoid using off-brand fuels to prevent clogging the internal system.
