Product Information
Full details
The Nike Vomero Plus Trainers are designed for adult female runners seeking a blend of comfort and responsiveness, making them an ideal choice for both casual joggers and those training for a 5k. The key benefit of these shoes is the innovative ZoomX midsole, which provides substantial cushioning while propelling the runner forward, though potential users should note that the low-top design offers less ankle support than high-profile alternatives.

FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for marathon training?
While excellent for daily training and 5k efforts, marathon suitability depends on individual preference for cushioning and support level.
Can I put these in the washing machine?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and foam properties. Stick to hand cleaning with a damp cloth.
Is the ZoomX foam durable?
ZoomX is a high-performance material designed to hold its shape well for the expected lifespan of a running shoe under normal road conditions.
Does this shoe come in different widths?
The Vomero Plus is designed with a standard athletic fit. It is recommended to try them on in the afternoon when feet are slightly swollen to ensure the correct size.
Can I use these for gym workouts?
They are primarily designed for forward-motion running. While suitable for treadmill use, they may lack the lateral stability needed for heavy weightlifting or side-to-side agility drills.
Troubleshooting
Feeling of slippage in the heel
Try the 'runner's loop' or 'lock lace' method to secure the ankle collar more firmly.
Accumulation of debris inside the shoe
Ensure your socks have a slightly higher cuff to create a barrier between the shoe opening and the ankle.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent energy return from ZoomX foam
- Highly breathable upper keeps feet cool
- Lightweight construction for faster transitions
- Versatile for both casual jogs and distance training
Cons
- Low-top design provides minimal ankle support
- Specific to female fit and ergonomics
- Not intended for technical trail running or heavy off-road use
Setup, Compatibility & Care
These trainers are designed for immediate use out of the box. To ensure longevity, keep the following in mind:
- Fit: Ensure you are wearing appropriate running socks to optimize the fit of the low-top collar.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dry dirt. For tougher stains, use a mild soap and a damp cloth; avoid submerging the shoes fully in water.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can compromise the integrity of the foam cushioning.
- Rotation: If running daily, consider rotating with another pair of shoes to allow the foam to decompress fully between sessions.
