Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Unlace the trainers fully, then put them on your feet.
- Adjust Fit: Begin lacing from the bottom eyelets, tightening evenly to achieve a secure yet comfortable fit. Ensure the tongue is centered.
- Knot: Tie a secure knot, double-knotting if preferred to prevent laces from coming undone during wear.
Compatibility
- Attire: Ideal for casual, smart-casual, and even some relaxed business-casual outfits. Think jeans, chinos, tailored shorts, polo shirts, button-downs, and light sweaters.
- Occasions: Perfect for daily wear, social gatherings, casual office environments, light walking, and travel.
- Seasonal: Suitable for year-round wear, though the leather upper is not designed for heavy rain or snow without additional waterproofing treatment.
Care & Maintenance
Maintaining the premium leather of your Masters Court Trainers is key to their longevity and appearance.
- Regular Cleaning: After each wear, gently wipe down the leather upper with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and light dirt.
- Deep Cleaning (Leather): For stubborn marks, use a specialized leather cleaner applied with a soft cloth. Follow the product instructions carefully. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Sole Cleaning: Clean the rubber outsole and EVA midsole with a mild soap solution and a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to remove dirt and scuffs.
- Conditioning: Apply a good quality leather conditioner periodically (every 1-3 months, depending on wear) to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. This also helps maintain its natural luster.
- Drying: If trainers get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the leather.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Protection: Consider applying a leather protector spray to guard against water and stains, especially before initial wear.
> Caution: Always test cleaning and conditioning products on an inconspicuous area first to ensure they do not alter the color or texture of the leather.
