Product Information

Full details

This Mercia Single Baby Seat Swing is designed for parents looking to provide a safe, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing swing experience for their little ones in the garden. Its key benefit is the secure and supportive baby seat combined with robust, weather-resistant construction. A potential caveat is that it is a single swing, designed specifically for babies, and requires adequate space for safe installation. The swing set features pressure-treated round-pole timber for durability, a gentle, supportive baby seat, and reinforced safety features like thick poles and rounded edges to ensure a stable and splinter-free play environment.

FAQs

What age is this swing suitable for?

This swing is designed specifically for babies, featuring a gentle and supportive seat for young children.

Does it come with everything needed for assembly?

Yes, the swing set comes flat-packed with all necessary parts and instructions for assembly, including anchor kits.

How do I maintain the wooden structure?

The pressure-treated timber is designed to resist rot and insects. Regular checks of fittings and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth are recommended. A clear wood preservative can be applied annually for enhanced protection and appearance.

What is the warranty on this product?

The product comes with a 10-Year Anti Rot Guarantee on the timber and a 1-Year Parts Warranty.

How do I ensure the swing set is safe and stable?

Proper assembly is key. Ensure all bolts are tight and use the included anchor kits to firmly secure the legs into the ground on a level surface. Always supervise children during use.

What are the dimensions of the swing set?

The dimensions are Height: 213.6 cm, Width: 165.8 cm, and Depth: 177.2 cm.

Can this swing be left outside all year round?

Yes, the pressure-treated timber is designed to withstand outdoor elements. However, for optimal longevity and appearance, consider covering or storing parts during extreme weather if possible.

Troubleshooting

Swing set appears unstable.

Ensure the anchor kits are securely fastened into the ground. Check that all bolts and joints are tightened correctly. Confirm the swing is on a level surface.

Wood shows signs of wear or weathering.

While pressure-treated, prolonged extreme weather may still cause surface changes. A clear wood preservative can be applied annually for extra protection and to maintain appearance, but is not essential for structural integrity against rot.

Baby seat rope appears worn.

Inspect the rope regularly for signs of fraying. If significant wear is observed, contact customer support for potential replacement parts. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

The Mercia Single Baby Seat Swing arrives flat-packed with all necessary components and easy-to-follow instructions for assembly. It is recommended to assemble the swing on a level surface. The included anchor kits should be used to secure the legs firmly into the ground for maximum stability and safety. Ensure all bolts and fittings are tightened securely before use.

Compatibility:

This swing set is designed as a single baby seat unit. It is compatible with standard outdoor garden environments. Ensure sufficient clearance around the swing for safe operation.

Care:

Due to the pressure treatment of the timber, the swing set offers excellent resistance to rot and decay. Regular checks of fittings and anchor points are recommended. Clean the timber occasionally with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. The soft rope swing can be wiped down as needed. Periodic re-tightening of bolts may be necessary.
