Product Information

Full details

The Croydex Flexi-Fix Toilet Seat in Grey is designed for homeowners who want a secure, stable, and easy-to-install toilet seat that fits virtually any standard toilet. Its key benefit is the "always fits, never slips" technology, eliminating the common frustration of loose seats. A potential caveat is that while it fits most standard pans, users should still check hinge centre measurements against the specified range.

FAQs

What is the main benefit of the Flexi-Fix system?

The Flexi-Fix system combines adjustable V-plate hinges and grip pads to ensure the seat always fits securely and never slips, regardless of minor variations in toilet pan hole spacing.

Can this toilet seat be fitted to any toilet?

It is designed to fit all standard UK toilet pans with hinge centres between 110mm and 200mm. Compatibility is very high, but it's always recommended to check your measurements.

How do I clean the toilet seat?

Clean with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners. The anti-bacterial treatment helps maintain hygiene.

Is installation difficult?

No, installation is designed to be easy. You can choose to fix the seat from either the top or the bottom of the toilet pan, and all fittings are included.

What material is the seat made from?

The seat is made from moulded wood with an anti-bacterial treatment.

What is the warranty period for this toilet seat?

The Croydex Flexi-Fix toilet seat comes with a 1-year guarantee.

Does the granite effect finish require special maintenance?

No, the granite effect finish is durable and can be maintained with regular cleaning using a soft cloth and mild soap, similar to the rest of the seat.

Troubleshooting

Seat feels loose after installation.

Ensure the V-plate hinges are fully adjusted and tightened to the pan holes. Double-check that the grip pads have good contact with the pan surface. Re-tighten all fixings.

Hinges do not align with toilet pan holes.

Verify that the distance between your toilet pan's hinge centres is within the 110mm to 200mm range specified for this seat. Adjust the V-plate hinges as much as possible.

Seat is difficult to install from underneath.

If access is limited, utilize the top-fix installation method, which is designed to be simpler in such cases.

Seat has developed stains or odour.

Clean the seat with a mild detergent and water. The anti-bacterial treatment should prevent persistent issues, but heavy staining may indicate damage to the finish. Ensure regular cleaning.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Universally fits most standard toilets due to adjustable hinges and V plate technology.
  • The grip pad technology effectively prevents the seat from loosening or slipping.
  • Installation is simplified with options to fix from the top or bottom.
  • Anti-bacterial treatment adds a layer of hygiene and prevents staining.
  • Stylish granite effect finish enhances bathroom aesthetics.

Cons

  • The guarantee period is limited to one year.
  • Requires checking hinge centre measurements against the 110-200mm range for optimal fit.
  • While durable, moulded wood may not appeal to users preferring solid plastic or metal alternatives.
  • The granite effect is a specific design choice and may not suit all bathroom styles.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Remove the protective film from the adhesive grip pads on the hinges.
  2. Position the hinges over the toilet pan's bolt holes.
  3. If installing from the top, insert the bolts through the holes and secure the nuts underneath.
  4. If installing from the bottom, insert the bolts from underneath and tighten the nuts on top.
  5. Adjust the V-plate hinges for optimal alignment with the bolt holes.
  6. Tighten the bolts securely.
  7. Clip the polished chrome hinge covers into place.

Compatibility:

  • Designed to fit all standard UK toilet pans.
  • Requires hinge centres to be between 110mm and 200mm.

Care:

  • Clean regularly using a soft, damp cloth with mild soap.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the anti-bacterial treatment or finish.
  • Wipe dry after cleaning.
