FAQs

Are these shoes machine washable?

It is recommended to clean them by hand using a damp cloth to preserve the integrity of the foam and fabrics.

Are these suitable for long-distance running?

The Galaxy 8 is optimized for daily activity and gym training; they may not provide the stability required for high-mileage road running.

Do these trainers run true to size?

Yes, they generally align with standard UK adult sizing, though preferences can vary based on sock thickness.

What is the primary material used?

The upper is constructed from durable polyester designed for breathability and a sleek look.

Can I replace the insoles?

Yes, the insoles can typically be removed if you prefer to use custom orthotic inserts.

What does Cloudfoam technology do?

Cloudfoam is a proprietary adidas midsole material that provides a soft, springy sensation and high-level cushioning.

Troubleshooting

Feeling pressure on the top of the foot

Loosen the laces across the midsection of the shoe to allow for more volume.

Shoes feel slippery on smooth surfaces

Ensure the outsoles are clean of debris, as dust and dirt can reduce traction on gym floors.

Staining on the upper material

Use a soft brush with a mixture of water and gentle soap to lightly scrub the affected area.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent underfoot comfort thanks to Cloudfoam technology
  • Stylish, modern low-profile aesthetic
  • Soft padding around the heel and tongue reduces irritation
  • Versatile performance for various types of daily activity

Cons

  • Specific low-profile fit may not suit those needing high arch support
  • Material choice is primarily suited for dry weather conditions
  • Limited to adult sizing range

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Galaxy 8 trainers maintain their performance, follow these guidelines:

  1. Fit Check: Ensure the laces are adjusted to hold your midfoot securely without causing pressure points.
  2. Cleaning: Spot clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the shoes in water or using harsh detergents.
  3. Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can damage the synthetic materials and midsole foam.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to prevent the buildup of moisture and odors.
