Setup & First Use
- Lacing: Ensure a secure, yet comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing techniques to relieve pressure points, especially over the instep, while keeping your heel locked in. Avoid overtightening, which can restrict blood flow.
- Initial Wear: Wear the shoes for short, easy runs or walks before a race to break them in slightly and ensure there are no unexpected hot spots or discomfort. These shoes are designed to perform out of the box, but a brief acclimatization helps.
- Fit Check: Your toes should have a thumb's width of space from the end of the shoe. The midfoot should feel snug but not tight, and your heel should not slip.
Compatibility
These shoes are perfectly tuned for long distances and designed for road running. They are optimized for competitive racing and high-intensity speed workouts. While durable, their specialized construction makes them less suitable for high-mileage daily training on varied terrain.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning: After use, remove any loose dirt with a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and cold water with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources like radiators, as this can degrade the materials and cause shrinkage.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Rotation: While these are race-specific shoes, if you use them for occasional speed training, consider rotating them with other training shoes to extend their lifespan.
