This guide is for DIY enthusiasts and professional contractors seeking reliable fasteners for drywall installation. The Unifix Drywall Screws offer a secure hold and smooth finish, ensuring efficient and professional results. A potential caveat is the fine thread, which may require more care in softer materials to prevent stripping. These screws feature a corrosion-resistant black phosphate finish, a bugle head for flush countersinking, and a fine thread designed for optimal grip in drywall panels, making them suitable for both residential and commercial applications. They come conveniently boxed in packs of 200.

These screws are designed for efficiently and securely fastening drywall panels to wood studs in residential and commercial construction.
The black phosphate finish provides resistance to corrosion and rust, helping to maintain the integrity of the screw and the installation over time.
The bugle head is shaped to countersink smoothly into the drywall surface without tearing the paper, creating a flush finish ready for joint compound.
These screws are primarily designed for wood studs due to their fine thread. While they might work on thin gauge metal studs with proper technique, specialized screws are recommended for metal stud applications.
Each pack conveniently contains 200 screws.
These specific Unifix Drywall Screws are 3.5mm in diameter and 25mm in length.
No, these screws are intended for interior drywall installation. For exterior applications, corrosion-resistant or stainless steel screws designed for outdoor use should be selected.
Reduce the speed of your drill, ensure the bit is fully seated in the screw head, and check if the clutch setting is too high. For harder materials, a pilot hole might be needed.
Adjust the clutch on your drill to a lower torque setting or a shallower depth. Ensure the bugle head is sinking smoothly and not digging too deep.
Verify the screw is penetrating adequately into the stud. Ensure the stud material is not too soft or damaged. For very soft wood, a slightly longer screw or a different thread type might be necessary.
While the black phosphate finish offers corrosion resistance, prolonged exposure to moisture can still cause rust. Store screws in a dry place and ensure finished walls are properly sealed.
