FAQs
Can I use these boots on artificial grass?
These boots are engineered for firm, natural grass surfaces. Using them on hard, abrasive surfaces may result in premature wear of the studs.
How do I maintain the grip on the upper?
Keep the upper clean by wiping it with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive sponges to protect the silicone elements.
Is the ankle collar adjustable?
No, the collar is made of a stretchy, compressive knit material designed to fit securely around the ankle without needing adjustment.
What is the purpose of the Ortholite sockliner?
The Ortholite sockliner provides long-lasting cushioning that helps absorb ground impact, keeping your feet comfortable throughout the match.
Do I need to break these boots in?
While the materials are designed to be flexible from the start, a short period of light use is recommended to ensure the fit feels personalized to your foot.
Troubleshooting
Boots feel overly tight when first worn
The knitted collar is designed for a compression fit; try wearing them for 15-20 minutes before a full match to allow the material to adapt to your foot shape.
Accumulation of dirt in the deboss channels
Use a soft-bristled brush to gently dislodge dry dirt after every session to prevent buildup from affecting your touch on the ball.

- Requires proper care to maintain silicone grip elements
- Slimmer fit profile may not suit all foot shapes
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance, ensure the Tekela V5 is used exclusively on Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches. Using these boots on abrasive surfaces like concrete or heavily rubber-filled artificial turf can lead to premature wear of the stud configuration. After play, remove excess mud from the soleplate using a soft brush. Wipe the upper down with a damp cloth to protect the nano-printed silicone elements; do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubs as these will strip the grip technology. Always air-dry your boots naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the materials.
