Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Timberland Field Trekker trainers remain in prime condition, proper care is essential. Since the upper is constructed from leather, avoid submerging the shoes in water. Instead, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt and debris after your outdoor excursions. If the leather becomes stained, use a dedicated leather cleaner or a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, followed by a light buffing. We recommend storing them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause the leather to dry out and crack over time. If the insoles accumulate significant moisture, remove them from the shoes to air dry separately to maintain hygiene and freshness. Periodically check the lacing hooks to ensure they are clean, as salt or road debris can potentially corrode metal surfaces if left unchecked over a long period.
