Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Upon receiving the bike, it is recommended to have it professionally assembled and tuned by a qualified bicycle mechanic. This ensures all components are correctly fitted, adjusted, and safe for riding. Key areas to check include brake adjustment, gear indexing, and torque settings on all bolts.
Compatibility:
- Tyres: Compatible with 700c wheels up to 47mm width or 650B wheels up to 50mm width. Ensure clearance is checked with your chosen rim width.
- Groupsets: Internal cable routing is compatible with standard mechanical and electronic/electric groupsets (e.g., Shimano Di2, SRAM eTap).
- Brakes: Uses flat mount disc brakes. Ensure any replacement rotors or calipers are compatible.
- Pedals: Standard 9/16" pedal thread. Pedals are typically not included and sold separately.
- Mudguards & Racks: Features mounts for mudguards. Rack mounts should be verified on the frame and fork for compatibility with specific rack models.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame and components with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washers near bearings.
- Drivetrain: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Periodically clean cassette and chainrings. Check for wear on chain, cassette, and chainrings.
- Brakes: Inspect brake pads for wear and ensure rotors are clean and free from contaminants. Adjust cable tension as needed for mechanical brakes.
- Tyres: Maintain proper tyre pressure as indicated on the tyre sidewall. Check for cuts or embedded objects.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry, protected environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to harsh weather.
