Product Information

Full details

This set of four 40L Addis recycling bins is designed for households and small offices looking to streamline waste separation. Its key benefit is the modular, interlocking design that allows for a customizable recycling hub, adaptable to different spaces. A potential caveat is that the 40L capacity per bin may be insufficient for very large households or high-volume waste generation. The system features color-coded lids for easy identification of waste types and a slim, space-efficient profile.

FAQs

How many bins are included in a set?

The product description mentions sets of 3 or 4 bins are available. Please refer to the specific product listing for the exact quantity in the set you are purchasing.

What are the dimensions of a single bin?

Each individual bin measures approximately W28 x L42.5 x H56 cm (11" x 16 3/4" x 22 inches).

Can I purchase additional lids separately?

Separate lids for this specific range might be available through Addis retailers. Please check with your point of purchase or the Addis website.

What material are the bins made from?

The bins are made from high-quality plastic, suitable for household waste and recycling.

What is the 'Made for Life' promise?

The 'Made for Life' promise from Addis typically refers to a commitment to durability and quality, often accompanied by a manufacturer's warranty. For specific terms, please consult the Addis warranty documentation.

Can these bins be used outdoors?

While durable, these bins are primarily designed for indoor use in kitchens, offices, or utility areas. Prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions may affect their longevity.

How do I reset the interlocking system if I want to rearrange the bins?

To un-link the bins, carefully pull the interlocking clips apart. It may require some firm pressure. Ensure there are no obstructions before re-linking them in a new configuration.

Troubleshooting

Bins do not interlock securely

Ensure the interlocking clips on both bins are clean and free of debris. Align the clips carefully and apply firm, even pressure until they click. Check that you are using bins from the same Addis interlocking range.

Lids do not close properly

Check for any obstructions inside the bin or on the rim. Ensure the lid is correctly aligned with the bin opening before attempting to close it.

General wear and tear on clips

While designed for durability, excessive force can damage clips. Contact Addis customer service if clips break due to manufacturing defects, referencing the 'Made for Life' warranty.

Bins are unstable

Ensure the floor surface is level. If bins are interlocked, confirm all clips are fully engaged. If used individually, consider placing them against a wall for added stability.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: To set up your Addis recycling bins, simply place them in your desired location. If you wish to link them together, align the integrated interlocking clips on the sides of the bins and push firmly until they click into place. Ensure all bins are stable before use.

Compatibility: These bins are designed as a standalone system. They are compatible with standard bin liners. The color-coded lids are designed for Addis 40L bins from this range.

Care: To clean the bins, use a damp cloth with mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic. Ensure the bins are dry before reassembling or placing new liners. Periodically check the interlocking clips for debris that might impede their function.
