The Helly Hansen HH Lifa Crew is a high-performance base layer designed for active adults who need reliable moisture management and lightweight insulation during variable weather conditions. Utilizing patented Lifa hydrophobic technology, this garment keeps you dry by wicking sweat away from the skin, making it an excellent choice for everything from intense winter sports to everyday layering. While it offers superior comfort and a close-to-body fit, users should note that as a synthetic base layer, it may require more frequent washing to prevent odor buildup compared to natural wool alternatives.

Yes, its lightweight, moisture-wicking properties make it excellent for sun protection and sweat management during summer hiking or trail running.
Yes, it is designed with a close-to-body fit to maximize the moisture-wicking effect. If you prefer a loose fit, you may consider sizing up, though this may reduce performance.
You can tumble dry on a low-heat setting, but air drying is highly recommended to extend the lifespan of the performance fibers.
It means the product was manufactured in a way that minimizes environmental impact and ensures the safety of workers and consumers throughout the supply chain.
It provides excellent base-level moisture management, but for extreme cold, it is best used as a foundation paired with heavier mid-layers and an insulated outer shell.
It is best to wash it after every few uses or immediately following a high-intensity activity to prevent salt and oil buildup.
Ensure the base layer is worn directly against the skin; avoid wearing cotton t-shirts underneath as cotton absorbs moisture and prevents the Lifa technology from working.
Wash the garment promptly after high-exertion use. Use a specialized sports laundry detergent to fully remove body oils trapped in the synthetic fibers.
Check your drying method; high heat in a dryer can damage the elastic components. Switch to air drying to preserve the garment's shape.
To ensure your base layer performs at its peak, always wear it as the innermost layer. It is fully compatible with mid-layers like fleeces or sweaters and outer shells like hardshell jackets. For care, wash in cold or warm water with a gentle detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can coat the Lifa fibers and degrade their moisture-wicking properties. Always hang to dry or tumble dry on a low-heat setting to maintain the integrity of the stretch fabric.
