These Under Armour Shadow Select 4 FG Jr. football boots are designed for young, speed-focused players looking for superior agility and ball control on natural grass surfaces. Their key benefit lies in the engineered last and TPU outsole that provide explosive traction for quick cuts and bursts of speed. A potential caveat is that they are best suited for natural grass, limiting their use on artificial turf.

These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches. They provide optimal traction and performance on these surfaces.
Lace the boots up securely, ensuring even pressure across the foot. The internal foam and die-cut EVA insole contribute to a comfortable fit once properly tied. It is always recommended to try on boots if possible to ensure a proper fit for your child's foot.
While they might offer some grip, these FG boots are not optimized for artificial turf. Using them on artificial surfaces may lead to reduced performance and increased wear on the soleplate.
Gently brush off excess dirt with a soft brush or wipe with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat.
The embossed texture is designed to enhance ball control, providing a better feel and grip on the ball during dribbling and passing.
These boots are engineered for young players who prioritize speed and agility. The design focuses on providing explosive traction and a lightweight feel for dynamic play.
Ensure laces are tied with a double knot for added security. Consider replacing laces if they are worn or slippery.
Loosen the laces slightly and re-tie, ensuring even pressure. If discomfort persists, the fit may not be ideal for your foot shape. Refer to sizing guides and consider trying on if possible.
While designed for firm ground, very wet conditions can reduce traction. Ensure studs are clean and free of debris. The FG soleplate is best suited for slightly damp to dry conditions.
Normal wear and tear can affect the texture over time. This is cosmetic and usually does not significantly impact ball control unless severe. Continue to clean boots after use.
Setup: These football boots feature a standard lace-up closure. Ensure the laces are tied securely and evenly to achieve a snug fit that minimizes foot slippage inside the boot. The die-cut EVA insole is pre-inserted for immediate comfort.
Compatibility: The 'FG' (Firm Ground) designation indicates these boots are optimized for use on natural grass surfaces. They may not provide optimal traction or performance on artificial turf or other hard ground types.
Care: After each use, remove excess dirt and mud using a soft brush or a slightly damp cloth. Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources, which can damage the materials. Avoid machine washing or using harsh detergents. Store in a cool, dry place.
