Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your adidas Copa Pure 4 Elite boots maintain their performance:
- Break-in Period: While the leather is soft, it is best to wear them for short training sessions before jumping into a full match to allow the leather to mold to your specific foot shape.
- Surface Compatibility: These are Firm Ground (FG) boots. They are designed for natural grass surfaces that are slightly firm. Using these on hard artificial turf or indoor courts will likely cause premature wear of the soleplate and void the manufacturer's performance intent.
- Post-Match Care: After playing on damp or muddy grass, wipe the boots down with a soft, damp cloth.
- Drying: Always let the boots air dry at room temperature. Never use heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as high temperatures will cause the leather to crack and lose its suppleness.
- Conditioning: Periodically apply a leather conditioner to keep the material supple and prevent it from drying out after frequent exposure to the elements.
