FAQs

Are these containers truly BPA-free?

Yes, they are manufactured using BPA-free polypropylene, making them safe for food storage.

Can I put these in the freezer?

Yes, the material is designed to withstand freezer temperatures, allowing for long-term meal storage.

Are they leak-proof?

The snap-on lids provide a secure fit for solid and semi-solid meals, but they are not strictly leak-proof for thin liquids like soup or broth.

What is the capacity of these specific containers?

These containers have a volume capacity of 880ml per unit.

How should I clean them if they are dishwasher safe?

While they are dishwasher safe, we recommend the top rack to minimize the risk of warping from high-temperature cycles.

Can the lids and containers be nested?

Yes, both the lids and the container bases are designed to nest, which maximizes space in your kitchen cupboards.

Troubleshooting

Lid feels difficult to snap on.

Ensure the container rim is clean and free of food debris, as even small crumbs can interfere with the airtight seal.

Staining after repeated use with tomato-based sauces.

Soak the container in a mixture of baking soda and warm water for thirty minutes to help neutralize pigments.

Container warping after microwave use.

Avoid overheating foods with high fat or sugar content, as these can reach temperatures exceeding the heat tolerance of polypropylene.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Durable BPA-free construction
Microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe
Space-saving stackable design
Extra volume provided by domed lid profile

Cons

Not intended for carrying liquids like soups due to potential leaks
Hand washing may extend the life of the plastic finish
Material may stain if used with highly acidic or turmeric-based sauces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before the first use, it is recommended to wash the containers in warm, soapy water. To maintain the structural integrity of the containers, avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals that can scratch the plastic surface. While these containers are dishwasher safe, placing them on the top rack helps prevent warping from intense heating elements. Ensure the containers are completely dry before stacking them for storage to prevent any moisture buildup between nested units.
