Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting your LG 65-inch 4K Smart TV set up and maintained is straightforward.
Initial Setup
- Unboxing and Placement: Carefully remove the TV from its packaging. Attach the stand following the instructions in the included manual, or prepare your VESA-compatible wall mount. Ensure stable placement on a level surface or secure wall.
- Connections: Plug in the power cord. Connect your external devices such as cable boxes, game consoles, or soundbars to the appropriate HDMI ports. Connect to your home network via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
- First-Time Setup Wizard: Power on the TV. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, connect to Wi-Fi, scan for channels (if using an antenna), and log into your LG account or preferred streaming services.
Compatibility
- HDMI Devices: Compatible with all standard HDMI sources, including gaming consoles (Xbox, PlayStation), Blu-ray players, soundbars, and set-top boxes.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Supports common Wi-Fi standards for seamless internet access and streaming.
- Bluetooth: > Info needed: Confirm Bluetooth support for connecting wireless accessories like headphones or soundbars.
- Voice Assistants: > Info needed: Confirm compatibility with popular voice assistants (e.g., Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa) through the remote or integrated AI.
- Streaming Services: Pre-installed with or allows download of major streaming apps (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, etc.).
Care and Maintenance
- Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth specifically designed for electronics. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water or a screen cleaning solution (never spray directly onto the screen).
- Dusting: Regularly dust the frame and back of the TV with a dry, soft cloth to prevent build-up.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper airflow around the TV. Do not block ventilation openings on the back or sides to prevent overheating.
- Power Management: Unplug the TV during electrical storms or if it will be unused for extended periods.
