Nexus Mattresses Ltd Open Coil Sprung Mattress - 7 INCH - Blue

Monobloc construction refers to a manufacturing technique where the spring unit is made from a single, continuous piece of wire. This results in a more stable and durable mattress structure with improved integrity compared to mattresses assembled from individual components.

After unwrapping, the mattress should be left to expand for 24 to 48 hours to reach its optimum height and performance. Ensure it is in a well-ventilated area during this period.

Yes, its supportive and hypoallergenic properties make it a suitable choice for children's beds, including bunk beds, due to its standard depth.

It is compatible with most bed bases, including divan, slatted, and platform beds. For slatted bases, ensure the slats are no more than 3 inches apart to provide adequate support and prevent the mattress from sinking.

A 13.5 gauge refers to the thickness of the wire used in the springs. A lower gauge number indicates a thicker wire, which generally translates to a firmer and more durable spring system. A 13.5 gauge is a common and robust specification for open coil mattresses.

This mattress uses an open coil system, where springs are interconnected. A pocket spring mattress has individual springs encased in fabric pockets, allowing them to move independently. Open coil systems tend to offer a more uniform and firmer feel, while pocket springs provide more targeted support and better motion isolation.

The comfort layers include a substantial 1000gsm pad, a 1950 poly pad, and 400gsm polyester fillings, designed to enhance resilience and durability, working together with a 5mm memory foam layer for light cushioning.

Ensure the mattress is unwrapped in a room with a stable temperature. Sometimes, expansion can take longer in colder environments. Check that it is lying flat and not compressed by surrounding objects. If still not fully expanded, contact customer support.

This may occur if the mattress has not been rotated regularly. Rotate the mattress head-to-toe and flip it if possible. Ensure the bed base provides adequate and even support, with slats no more than 3 inches apart.

New mattresses can sometimes have a slight odour from the manufacturing process. This is normal and usually dissipates within a few days. Ensure the room is well-ventilated during the expansion period.

Ensure the mattress has had the full 24-48 hours to expand. If the issue persists, consider your personal preference for firmness. This mattress is designed for medium-firm support; a softer or firmer mattress might be more suitable.
