Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your HOKA Clifton 10 shoes, ensure you try them on and walk around to assess the fit. Pay close attention to the dual-lace lock system to secure the tongue and achieve a comfortable forefoot fit. Adjust the laces to your preference, ensuring they are snug but not overly tight.
Sizing Note: If you are already familiar with HOKA sizing, it is recommended to go down half a UK size from your usual HOKA size. If you are new to the HOKA brand, select your standard UK shoe size.
Compatibility
These shoes are specifically designed for road running and feature neutral cushioning. They are best suited for:
- Daily training runs
- Long-distance road running
- Recovery runs
- Runners seeking maximum comfort and cushioning
They are not primarily designed for trail running, technical terrains, or speed work requiring a minimalist feel.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your HOKA Clifton 10s:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe off dirt and mud with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, remove the moulded EVA sockliner and allow it to air dry. You can also use shoe deodorizers.
