Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove your new adidas F50 Elite boots from their packaging.
- Initial Try-On: Try the boots on with your usual football socks. Ensure a snug, comfortable fit without any excessive pressure points or heel slippage. The `PRIMEKNIT mid-cut collar` should feel supportive around the ankle.
- Lacing: Lace them up securely, ensuring even tension across the foot. Adjust to your personal preference for optimal support and comfort.
- Break-in: It is advisable to wear them for a few light training sessions before a competitive match to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are designed to perform optimally on natural grass fields that are dry and firm. Using them on other surfaces, such as:
- Artificial Grass (AG)
- Soft Ground (SG)
- Indoor Courts (IC)
may lead to suboptimal performance, increased wear and tear on the boots, potential damage to the playing surface, or even a higher risk of injury due to inappropriate traction.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your adidas F50 Elite boots:
- Immediate Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or a damp cloth. Do not let mud dry on the boots.
- Stubborn Stains: For more persistent dirt, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth or sponge. Gently rub the affected areas. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or stiff brushes that could damage the `Fibertouch upper` or `Sprintweb 3D texture`.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Crucially, avoid direct heat sources such as radiators, hair dryers, or direct sunlight, as excessive heat can cause the synthetic materials to crack, shrink, or delaminate. You can stuff the boots with newspaper to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight when not in use. Using a boot bag can help protect them during transport.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the studs and soleplate for wear, damage, or loose elements. Ensure the `cushioned sock liner` remains intact and comfortable.
Composition: Upper: textile. Lining: synthetic. Sole: synthetic.
