FAQs

Is this mattress suitable for newborns?

Yes, the firm, high-density core is designed to provide the necessary support for infants.

How often should I wash the cover?

The cover should be washed whenever it becomes soiled or according to your hygiene preferences for maintaining a fresh sleep space.

Is the entire mattress machine washable?

No, only the removable zipped outer cover is machine washable. The core should never be submerged in water.

Does this mattress require a specific type of cot bed?

This model is designed to fit standard UK cot beds measuring 140cm x 70cm.

What is the purpose of the diamond-quilted pattern?

The pattern helps enhance the breathability of the cover, allowing air to circulate more freely.

Can I use an electric blanket with this mattress?

No, it is not recommended to use electric blankets or heating pads with this cot mattress due to safety regulations and the materials used.

Troubleshooting

Cover is difficult to put back on after washing

Ensure the cover is completely dry and flattened out, then carefully align the corners with the mattress edges before zipping.

Visible gaps between mattress and cot frame

Verify that your cot bed dimensions match the 140cm x 70cm specification. If the cot frame is non-standard, the mattress may not be compatible.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Firm support for developmental needs
Waterproof membrane protects against liquids
Breathable quilted top layer for temperature regulation
Hypoallergenic design for sensitive skin
Easy-to-clean removable cover

Cons

Specific sizing requires precise cot matching
Not intended for non-standard cot shapes
Firmness may feel rigid compared to adult mattresses

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up, ensure your cot bed is fully assembled and on a flat surface before placing the mattress inside. The mattress should fit snugly against all four sides of the cot frame to ensure safety; there should be no gaps greater than 2cm between the mattress and the frame. For care, it is recommended to wash the zip-off cover in a gentle machine cycle as needed. Always allow the cover to dry completely before replacing it on the mattress. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners on the waterproof membrane, as this can degrade the protective PU material.
