Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Blue Eyed Grass thrives, select a planting site that receives at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight daily. Before planting, amend heavy clay soils with grit or organic compost to improve drainage, as the roots are sensitive to standing water. Dig a hole twice the width of the 1L pot, place the plant at the same depth it was in the nursery container, and backfill with native soil. Water thoroughly immediately after planting. For long-term care, prune away any damaged or faded foliage in late winter to make room for new spring growth, and apply a thin layer of mulch to conserve moisture while keeping the crown of the plant clear.
