FAQs

How do I measure my window for these blinds?

For inside mount, measure the exact width and drop of your window recess. For outside mount, measure the desired area and add overlap. Refer to the specific measurement guide provided with the product for detailed instructions.

Can these blinds be motorized?

The standard Caecus Day Night Roller Blinds are operated by a pull cord. Motorized options are not typically available for this model.

What is the difference between the translucent and opaque layers?

The translucent layer diffuses light, reducing glare and offering a degree of privacy. The opaque layer provides complete blackout and privacy when closed.

Are these blinds suitable for bathrooms?

While suitable for most rooms, it's recommended to avoid excessive moisture in bathrooms, as it can affect the fabric over time. Ensure good ventilation.

How do I clean the fabric?

Dust regularly with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner on a low setting. For stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap and water, then rinse with a clean damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.

What is the maximum size available?

These blinds are available in various sizes, with a maximum width of 240cm and a maximum drop of 210cm.

How does the day-night function work?

The blind features alternating stripes of sheer and opaque fabric. By adjusting the blind, you can align these stripes to control how much light filters through and the level of privacy.

Troubleshooting

Blind does not roll up or down smoothly

Check if the fabric is tangled or unevenly wound. Gently adjust the fabric to ensure it is tracking straight. Ensure there are no obstructions in the window frame.

Pull cord is not working correctly

Inspect the cord for any knots or damage. Ensure the cord mechanism is properly engaged. If the cord is frayed or broken, it may need replacement.

Child safety clip is difficult to use

Ensure the cord is properly threaded through the clip mechanism. Consult the product manual for specific instructions on using the safety clip.

Light is not fully blocked when in the 'closed' position

Ensure the blind is fully lowered. Small light gaps at the edges are normal due to the nature of roller blinds; side channels can minimize this if required.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Offers flexible light control from diffused to blackout.
Provides excellent privacy when needed.
Enhances room aesthetics with a modern design.
Contributes to energy efficiency by insulating windows.
Includes important safety features for households with children.

Cons

Requires precise measurements for optimal fitting.
The dual-layer mechanism might require a slightly larger headrail than single blinds.
Pull cord operation may not be ideal for all window heights or user preferences.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Installation typically involves mounting brackets to the window frame or wall, then attaching the roller blind mechanism. Ensure the mounting surface is stable. Follow the included step-by-step instructions carefully. The pull cord can usually be attached to either the left or right side during installation.

Compatibility: These blinds are suitable for most standard window types. Confirm the maximum available size (240cm width, 210cm drop) meets your window dimensions. Ensure there is sufficient clearance above the window for the headrail.

Care: Cleaning is simple. Dust the fabric regularly with a soft brush or vacuum attachment on a low setting. For minor marks, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, which can damage the fabric. Ensure the blinds are fully dry before rolling them up.
