Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These tiles are designed for straightforward installation. Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and relatively level before beginning.
- Start in a corner and place the first tile.
- Align the next tile's connecting points with the first and push down firmly until it clicks into place.
- Continue this process, interlocking tiles in a staggered pattern for added stability, similar to laying bricks.
- Use a rubber mallet gently if needed to ensure a tight connection.
- For areas requiring cuts (e.g., around pipes or edges), a suitable cutting tool like a jigsaw or circular saw may be used, but always prioritize safety and wear appropriate protective gear.
Compatibility:
The tiles are designed to be laid directly on most solid, flat surfaces including concrete, asphalt, and existing stable flooring. They are compatible with standard garage environments and can be used with vehicle jacking points and axle stands. Ensure the total surface area is measured accurately to purchase the correct number of tiles.
Care:
Maintenance is simple. Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust and debris. For spills, use a damp cloth or a mild detergent solution. The tiles are resistant to most common automotive fluids, but cleaning spills promptly is recommended. Avoid using abrasive cleaning tools that could scratch the surface. Periodic checks of the interlocking connections can ensure continued stability.
