Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, ensure you have the correct terminal size for your wiring project. Open the storage case and select the appropriate terminals. Then, refer to the channel markings on the crimping tool (red, blue, yellow) to choose the correct size for the terminal. Insert the wire into the terminal and position it in the correct channel of the crimping tool. Squeeze the handles firmly until the tool ratchets and releases, indicating a complete crimp.
This tool is designed for use with pre-insulated terminals within the specified size ranges. It is not suitable for bare terminals or terminals outside of the supported sizes.
Care for the tool by cleaning it after each use, particularly around the jaws. Store in the provided steel case in a dry environment to prevent corrosion. Periodically inspect the jaws for any signs of wear or damage.
