Yes, it is designed for significant warmth, but you should always assess the local climate and layer appropriately if temperatures are extremely low.
Always refer to the care label inside the garment. If machine washing is allowed, use a gentle cycle with a down-safe detergent.
This size is designed to fit an average-sized infant between the ages of 9 and 12 months.
No, the hood on the Sharon model is a fixed design to ensure maximum wind protection.
Spot clean the exterior polyester shell with a damp cloth and mild soap, taking care not to soak the interior down fill.
Small amounts of feathers escaping is normal for down products; gently pull them back inside rather than plucking them out to prevent enlarging the hole.
Tumble dry the jacket on a low heat setting with clean tennis balls or wool dryer balls for 10-15 minutes to restore the loft of the down.
Ensure no fabric is caught in the zipper track; if it continues to stick, gently rub a graphite pencil tip along the zipper teeth to lubricate them.
Because this garment contains down fill, it is important to follow specific care protocols to maintain its loft and warmth. Always check the internal garment tag for the manufacturer's specific washing instructions, which typically recommend professional cleaning or gentle, low-temperature drying with dryer balls to redistribute the down. Ensure the jacket is fully zipped before placing it in storage to prevent damage to the teeth of the closure. The fit is designed specifically for the 9-12 month age range, ensuring a secure fit that isn't too tight, allowing for moderate layering underneath.
