FAQs
Can I use the Hammerfix N Green in hollow brick?
This specific anchor is optimized for solid concrete and solid brick. It may not provide adequate expansion in hollow-core materials.
What tools do I need for installation?
You will need a 6 mm masonry drill bit and a hammer for initial installation, plus a PZ2 Pozidriv screwdriver for any adjustments or removal.
What is the maximum panel thickness it can support?
The Hammerfix N Green is designed to accommodate a maximum panel thickness of 5 cm.
Is the material actually environmentally friendly?
Yes, a significant portion of the granules used in the sleeve production are derived from renewable, sustainable raw materials.
Are these fixings permanent?
While intended for robust, long-term installation, the design includes a cross-slot head that allows for removal if you ever need to dismantle your structure.
Troubleshooting
The anchor expands before reaching the required depth.
Check the drill hole for debris; ensure the depth is at least 9.5 cm and clear of concrete dust.
The screw head is not flush with the surface.
Ensure the hole is deep enough; if the screw remains protruding, use a PZ2 screwdriver to manually drive it further.
Pros and Cons

- Secure anchorage in concrete and solid brick.
- Easily removable via the cross-slot recess if adjustments are needed.
Cons
- Requires a precise 9.5 cm minimum drill hole depth.
- Not suitable for hollow wall materials.
- Limited to a maximum panel thickness of 5 cm.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance, start by drilling a 6 mm diameter hole into your base material to a minimum depth of 9.5 cm. Position your fixture and insert the Hammerfix through the pre-drilled hole in your component. Use a hammer to drive the nail screw into the sleeve until the head is flush against the material surface. When removing, use a PZ2 screwdriver to turn the screw; this releases the expansion pressure, allowing you to pull the sleeve out cleanly. No specialized maintenance is required, though you should store the fixings in a dry location to preserve the integrity of the zinc-plated components.
