NiSi Athena Prime Set - PL-Mount

Prime lens sets offer superior optical quality and larger maximum apertures compared to zoom lenses, leading to sharper images, better low-light performance, and more control over depth of field.

The NiSi Athena Prime Set is designed for full-frame coverage. While they can be used on Super 35mm sensors, you will experience a cropped field of view compared to their full-frame performance.

Use a soft lens brush to remove loose dust, followed by a microfiber lens cloth lightly dampened with a dedicated lens cleaning solution for fingerprints or smudges. Always clean from the center outwards.

A T-stop (Transmission stop) measures the actual amount of light transmitted through the lens, accounting for light loss within the lens elements. An F-stop is a theoretical calculation. T-stops are more accurate for exposure control in filmmaking.

The set comes with a PL-Mount. You would need a compatible adapter for your specific camera mount (e.g., Canon RF, Sony E-mount). Ensure the adapter is designed for full-frame coverage and maintains optical performance.

The set includes five prime lenses: 14mm T2.4, 25mm T1.9, 35mm T1.9, 50mm T1.9, and 85mm T1.9, all featuring a PL-Mount.

Ensure the lens is securely mounted to the camera. Check if focus rings are moving freely and that the infinity mark is correctly aligned for distant subjects.

Verify that the lens is set to the correct focal distance. Clean the lens elements and check for any protective caps that may still be attached. Ensure the correct T-stop is selected for the desired depth of field.

Confirm the lens is fully seated and locked onto the PL-Mount. Inspect the mount contacts on both the lens and camera body for any obstruction or damage.

Use the provided lens hood (if applicable) or an external matte box to block stray light. Ensure lens elements are clean and free from smudges.
