Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Putting On: Utilize the heel pull tab to easily slide your foot into the shoe. This feature helps prevent creasing the heel counter.
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are snug but not overly tight. A proper fit is crucial for comfort and support. Double-knot for security during play.
- Breaking In: Like most new footwear, these shoes may require a short break-in period. Wear them for shorter periods during practice before full matches to allow the material to conform to your foot.
Compatibility
These shoes are specifically designed for TF (Turf Football) surfaces. This means they are optimized for artificial grass pitches with short, rubber infill. They are not recommended for:
- FG (Firm Ground): Natural grass pitches.
- AG (Artificial Ground): Newer, longer artificial grass pitches that may require different stud configurations.
- IC (Indoor Court): Smooth, hard indoor surfaces.
Using them on incorrect surfaces can compromise performance, durability, and may even lead to injury.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your football shoes:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on turf, wipe down the upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For the outsole, use a brush to dislodge any trapped rubber pellets or mud.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the synthetic materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place. If possible, use shoe trees or stuff them with newspaper to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your football shoes, as this can severely damage them and void any warranty.
