No, the Downshifter 13 is designed for breathability and is not waterproof.
While capable of light jogging, these trainers are optimized for casual use and everyday activity rather than heavy long-distance training.
Nike generally follows standard UK sizing; it is recommended to buy your usual athletic shoe size.
The standard construction offers a regular fit. If you have significantly wider feet, you may find them snug, and breaking them in is recommended.
Yes, the sockliner is typically removable if you need to insert orthotics.
Depending on usage frequency, trainers typically show wear in the midsole cushioning after 300-500 miles of use.
Gently scrub with a mild detergent and a damp cloth, then allow to air dry in a shaded area.
Check if the factory-provided sockliner has shifted and ensure it is lying flat, or consider replacing with a performance insole.
Use the extra eyelet at the top of the lacing system to create a 'runner's loop' for a more secure heel lock.
To ensure the best experience, wear your standard athletic sock size to achieve the intended fit of the Downshifter 13. When cleaning, avoid machine washing; instead, use a soft-bristled brush or a cloth dipped in mild soapy water to spot-clean the white upper. Always allow the trainers to air dry at room temperature, keeping them away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the synthetic materials and foam.
